Seavus, in cooperation with SEDC, organized the first “Next Generation Wireless” conference, event dedicated to the new generation of technologies, in Skopje. More than 200 visitors attended the conference including students from the technical faculties in Macedonia, as well as employees from private companies and public sector.
Our guest speaker, Mr. Igor Tasevski from Ericsson, held an interesting and engaging presentation on connectivity as the starting point for new ways of innovating, collaborating and socializing. The Networked Society that Ericsson envisions starts with connections between devices and things, but more importantly, it is about the big ideas that become possible and will shape benefits to people.
Prof. Dr. Liljana Gavrilovska and Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Risteski from the Institute for telecommunications talked about the concepts, solutions and the security issues 5G networks, while Assistant Prof. Dr. Nikola Rendevski from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies in Bitola talked about the potentials, challenges and state of the art of the 60 GHz mm Waves.
As a review of the industry practices in the country, two representatives from Makedonski Telekom talked about the optimal broadband wireless technology deployment in conjunction with the traffic trends in their network.
