The Client is a multinational mass media and information firm.


The project included complex and combined testing of the back-end, front-end, and web services for all major entitlements systems for multiple products used for providing financial information to over 500 000 advanced end-users.


Clarity tool is Seavus’ solution that offers a generation of reconciliation reports for the user’s products and compares what users are entitled to use vs what users are paying for.

For Athena Entitlement System: preparing test plans/test cases for the main functionalities of the Athena system and all other systems connected to Athena. Creation of customer, provisioning of his products to the external systems, checking the functionalities of the products sold to the customers. In the scope of the project Seavus has the following responsibilities:

  • Level 1 and Level 2 technical support activities
  • Linux shell scripts, troubleshooting, execution, checking if they work properly
  • Java-based processes, stopping, starting, and checking logs, troubleshooting errors in the logs
  • Sybase database maintenance - Writing queries, manual updates/inserts/deletes directly in database tables in order to verify positive/negative scenarios of the test cases
  • Monitoring transaction queue for failed transactions between integrated systems (web services)
  • Working on incidents reported via the ticketing system or e-mail sent within the enterprise or the end-users (with pre-defined response and resolution times)
  • Troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of level 2 or level 3 issues
  • Incident management processes and escalations to the various supporting teams (if needed), owners of different parts of the system or related systems
  • Prevention of issues by establishing support procedures or automating checks and fixes for known issues
