Seavus’ New Application: Footer for Jira Service Management

Seavus, an international software development and consulting company and Atlassian Gold Solution Partner, is pleased to announce the new application Footer for Jira Service Management, developed by the Seavus’ Atlassian experts.

After years of working with Atlassian products, Seavus’ Atlassian experts have successfully developed an application that enables users of JIRA Service Management portals to personalize their footer to comply with their own privacy policy and other legal documentation such as being compliant with EU GDPR.

Seavus has vast experience working with clients from diverse industries and has helped many of them to implement Atlassian solutions and accelerate their digital transformation journey. This application will allow users of Atlassian ITSM products to easily configure their own footer and display it to Service Desk Portals.

“The general idea came from discussions with one of our EU customers, who pointed out that their public facing portals must contain links to their privacy policies and compliance documents as per the EU GDPR. As there was no out-of-the-box solution available at that moment to provide to the customer, we decided to develop an app that would allow users to create footers on their JIRA Service Management portals.”, explains Chedomir Dimitrovski, Support Manager at Seavus’ Managed Services Division.

The Footer for Jira Service Management application can be integrated with the Atlassian product your organization is already using. Our Senior System Engineer at Managed Service Division, Igor Totić who is Atlassian Development Lead and Coordinator of the development of this application, explains that “Footer for JSM will allow any customer that uses Jira Service Management to customize their portal by adding contact details, links to other resources, and documentation”. This application enables you to add information about the title of the company, contact details as well as links to other useful resources.

When we speak about configuration, Igor highlights that the configuration of Footer for JSM is very simple and is designed to be a guided configuration. “After adding Footer for JSM to a Service Management instance, the administrator can choose which Portal will be using our app and configure the title and the desired links. Everything is set up in three clicks, and they are ready to go. We have even implemented a preview of the configuration so it can be easily changed without having to be applied first. More features will come in the future that will enable administrators’ further customization.”, explains Igor.
