From 29 June until 03 July, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies in cooperation with Seavus’ embedded specialists, organized and held the annual Embedded Summer School for FEIT students. The main goal of this event was to educate the students in embedded technologies using a practical approach filled with a lot of fun and common cooperation among students, experts from Seavus and mentors from FEIT, in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.
The workshop focused on two levels of embedded technology, both of which required active cooperation between our team of specialists and the enthusiastic FEIT students. It consisted of a theoretical part where experts from industry and education in Macedonia are educating the students on the latest technologies worldwide, and a practical workshop, during which the 40 student participants, together with embedded experts from the Seavus Embedded division, worked on solutions for practical problems. Part of the workshops included development of methodologies needed to solve the problem and actual implementations of the solutions on development boards. In addition, the FEIT students participating in the summer school worked in teams to create a final project which showcases the knowledge they’ve obtained throughout the week. On the last day of the workshop, the students presented their projects to a jury.
The workshop was concluded successfully on July 3, with an award ceremony during which all participants were awarded certificates of completion, and the best and most innovative students received rewards provided by Seavus.
Congratulations to all participants on completing this workshop and to the winners on their exceptional work. We hope the knowledge obtained during this past week will help them with their work, and we wish them successful completion of their studies and a successful career in the future.
